Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson is expected to miss several games after spraining his ankle during Saturday night's game against the Denver Nuggets.
Thompson stepped on an opposing player's heel during the first half of the game. At the time, he was able to continue playing, but his ankle swelled significantly overnight, according to the Cavs.
Thompson's return to the court will be determined by continued evaluation and daily recovery progress.
