We now know why Dwyane Wade missed the Cavs' game against the Indiana Pacers Friday night.
He's taking some time to mourn the loss of his agent — Henry "Hank" Thomas.
In an emotional Instagram post, Wade wrote that he was crying "tears of SADNESS and tears of JOY."
He wrote, in part:
I cry these tears because selfishly i wanted you to be there when i got my jersey retired or when i gave my hall of fame speech or when i had a daughter. I got so many questions on how to raise a strong, confident, intelligent, independent black woman. I hope you don’t mind but i will still be calling on you for guidance.
Coach Tyronn Lue said general manager Koby Altman told Wade to "take his time."
The 36-year-old Wade is averaging 11.1 points, 3.9 points and 3.7 assists in 42 games for the struggling Cavs, who have lost 10 of 13. Wade willingly moved to Cleveland's second unit and he has been a steadying force for the team.
