Veteran sports reporter Allie Clifton announced on Wednesday that she is officially leaving her beloved home state and Cleveland Cavaliers for a gig in the Golden State.
Clifton, who worked for six seasons as a sideline reporter for the Cavs,will be taking her talents west and will join Spectrum SportsNet as a Los Angeles Lakers studio host, according to the network.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram to her fans and the community, Clifton called her time and role as a sports reporter "nothing short of a dream."
Clifton joined the Cavs in 2012 after a stint as a field reporter for the Detroit Tigers Triple-A Club. She attended the University of Toledo and played four seasons with the Toledo Rockets women's basketball team, where she was a three-time team captain.
