Surprise, surprise.
LeBron James has been named the 2018 NBA All-Star starter and team captain for his 14th consecutive NBA All-Star start - the longest streak in NBA history.
James is only the second player in NBA history to start at least 14 All-Star Games, joining Kobe Bryant who holds the record with 15 starts.
James was selected after leading all NBA players with 2,638,294 fan votes.
But fans only accounted for half of the vote to determine the ten starters for the 67th NBA All-Star Game. Current NBA players and a panel of basketball media accounted for another 25 percent each of the vote.
James finished first among all NBA fan voting, earning him the team captain spot in the East. His rival captain will be Golden State's Stephen Curry, who finished first in the Western Conference in fan voting, with 2,379,494 votes.
Each captain will choose the team rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves. The teams will feature players from each conference, but team rosters do not need to stay true to conference affiliation.
The 67th NBA All-Star Game will be held Sunday, Feb. 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
