CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns Executive Vice President JW Johnson announced that the Browns will be going into the Battle of Ohio wearing retro digs, throwing it back to the 1980s with a uniform featuring orange pants.
The Browns kick off Thursday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. You can watch the action on News 5.

When the team unveiled the new uniforms in April, fans took to social media all but begging for the team to incorporate orange pants as often as possible. After hearing the feedback, Johnson said he’d look into the possibility of bringing orange pants into the mix.
It’s no surprise why Browns fans would want a classic-look uniform set to include orange pants.
The team incorporated orange pants into their uniform lineup in 1975 and were a staple look during the Kardiac Kids era, which was why the announcement, featuring a highlight video from the Browns 31-7 win over the Bengals in Municipal Stadium in 1980, was so fitting.

And if the saying is true about looking good and playing good, well, the Browns game under prime-time lights will be one you won’t want to miss.
