CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns placed two players on a new reserve list for players who have tested positive for or have had contact with someone with COVID-19.

Running back Dontrell Hilliard and safety Javonte Moffatt were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to the team.

The reserved list category was created for players who test positive for the virus or who have been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person.

Players who fall under either category are required to be immediately placed on the list, the team said.

The team is not permitted to comment on any players’ medical status other than referring to the special COVID-19 reserve list, according to the team.

Hilliard has played in 25 games since joining the Browns in 2018, rushing for 49 yards and two touchdowns last season and led the team in kickoff return yards.

Moffatt is a new addition to the team, signing as an undrafted free agent in May.
