CLEVELAND — The Browns take on the Rams Sunday night but they will officially be doing so without three of their starters and face the possibility of more players out for the game as well.
Browns' head coach Freddie Kitchens announced Friday that linebacker Christian Kirksey is out with a chest injury, tight end David Njoku is out with a concussion and wrist injury and safety Damarious Randall is out with a concussion.
Tackle Kendall Lamm has also been ruled out with a knee injury.
Those four players will definitely not be taking the “Sunday Night Football” field and eight other players have been listed as questionable.
Cornerbacks Greedy Williams and Denzel Ward are dealing with hamstring injuries, safety Morgan Burnett is dealing with a quadricep injury, wide receiver Rashard Higgins is dealing with a knee injury, right tackle Chris Hubbard is dealing with a foot injury, linebacker Adarious Taylor is dealing with an ankle injury, safety Sheldrick Redwine is dealing with a hamstring injury and defensive end Chris Smith is dealing with personal matters.
While the Browns’ roster is spread thin heading into their match-up with the Rams, Kitchens is confident in his team and the next man up in each position.
“I’ll roll with whoever’s there. I think we’ve got enough guys that are willing to go out and play well, prepare well and put everything out there for 60 minutes or however long it takes,” Kitchens said.
