CLEVELAND — Cleveland’s own Haz Matthews already has listeners' ears with his shows on 93.1 WZAK, but now he has their eyes and hearts too. Matthews has been making YouTube videos following each Cleveland Browns game this season.
“If our team's gonna be special, let’s do something extra. Let’s put some 'oomph' on it. You know what I mean? I’ve got these rap skills, and these creative talents,” Matthews said. “When they left, they were good. They came back, they’re an expansion team, basically. I’m rocking with them, I’m by myself.”
Matthews mixes his lyrics with popular songs but he puts a Cleveland Browns spin on it.
“It’s always better when we win. At first, we got beat, I chose the song 'Humble' and last week, I flipped 'Rock the Bells' into 'Whoopty Hell.'" Matthews said. "I don’t know what it’ll be this week for Baltimore.”
Matthews began his radio career in Baltimore—fitting as the Browns head down to Baltimore to play the Ravens this Sunday.
