CLEVELAND — The father of Browns punter Jamie Gillan will be in attendance at his son’s game Sunday, but in a way that you might not expect.

Colin Gillan will lead the flyover ahead of the Browns game against the Bengals in a P-8A Poseidon aircraft, the Browns announced on Friday.

The father of the “Scottish Hammer” is a longtime member of the Royal Air Force, according to the Browns.

Colin will serve as the Squadron Leader of the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1) Pioneers for a pregame flyover following Sunday’s national anthem, the Browns said.

Jamie Gillan shared his excitement over his excitement about the upcoming moment on Twitter Saturday.

Colin is just as excited about his first flyover.

“This will be a first for me by a long shot,” Colin told the Browns. “I watched a couple of previous ones. It was incredible, actually. You see the crowd as it goes across the stadium, it's incredible.”
