CLEVELAND — Baker Mayfield might win rookie of the year, and he looks like he might be the quarterback to lead the team into the next decade, but not everyone was convinced.
Let's take a trip on memory lane to see what experts said about Mayfield when he was drafted.
ESPN said Mayfield is competitive and accurate but, like Johnny Manziel, is not ideal NFL quarterback size and had off-the-field issues.
Cris Carter, from First Things First, said the Browns finally got it right by taking Mayfield at No. 1.

“I can see an offense that will rival Atlanta’s for the most exciting, bombs away offense in football... Can you imagine @bakermayfield throwing to @JOSH_GORDONXII or Jarvis Landry (@God_Son80)?" — @RealSkipBayless pic.twitter.com/o1RIZDLG3c
