FAIRLAWN, Ohio — A local man who was having a rough day had things turn around when he ran into Browns defensive end Myles Garrett at the Apple store at Summit Mall in Fairlawn.

JJ Remmy said on Facebook that he had been without a phone for two days after his iPhone stopped working.

It was going to cost Remmy $115.99 to get a new phone, but, unfortunately, he had spent all of his money getting a title for his car. Just as he was leaving the store, Remmy ran into Garrett.

Remmy said Garrett was kind enough to pay the balance off so he could get a new phone.

After Garrett paid for the phone, Remmy offered to pay him back, but Garrett just smiled, shook his hand and said “I gotcha bro, don’t worry about it.”

Remmy said Garrett’s act of kindness almost made him break down.

“Myles is a Great guy, and he changed my whole entire day yesterday,” Remmy said. “Just had to share my story. GO BROWNS!!!!"

Garrett said on Twitter that he's glad he could make Remmy's day a little better.

"I’m just grateful that I’m in the position to help others. I didn’t think this would get recognition, but I’m glad I could make his day a little better," Garrett said.
