CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have hired Minnesota Vikings coordinator Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach, but who is he?

Stefanski was a defensive back at Penn but spent his entire coaching career on the offensive side of the ball.

After coaching at Penn for one year, he was hired by the Vikings in 2006 as an assistant to their head coach, Brad Childress.

Stefanski was promoted to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2009, and held the position until 2011.

He eventually became the offensive coordinator for the team after the Vikings fired John DeFilippo in 2018.

With Stefanski taking over the reigns as offensive coordinator, the team ranked eighth in the NFL in scoring offense and sixth in rushing offense.

Stefanski's entire NFL coaching career has been with the Vikings.

This will be his first head coach position.
