CLEVELAND — Last month, the Browns announced that their bullmastiff mascot Swagger was retiring and his son, SJ, would be taking over for him.
Swagger made his final run through the tunnel at FirstEnergy Stadium on Oct. 13 when the Browns hosted the Seattle Seahawks. Now that his dad has stepped down, SJ has been given all of his dad’s duties and he isn’t taking his responsibilities lightly.
The Browns shared a video showing how hard SJ is training before making his debut as the team’s new mascot.

The “Rocky” theme song “Gonna Fly Now” played in the background as SJ trained while rocking a stylish gray sweatsuit.
SJ practiced running across the field at FirstEnergy Stadium, did a few push-ups and even hit a hot dog punching bag in the video.
In an epic ending, SJ channeled his inner Rocky and finished his training by running up the stairs of FirstEnergy Stadium, drooling with pride when he made it to the top.
SJ will make his debut Sunday when the Browns take on the Bills—and he appears more than ready to do it.
