COLUMBUS, Ohio — All students, faculty, staff and visitors at Ohio State University will be required to wear face masks indoors and sign a pledge to promote safe and healthy practices, according to a statement from the university on its plans for the return of students in the fall.

The university said masks must be worn in indoor settings and must be put on before entering enclosed or indoor spaces, including, but limited to, classrooms, common areas, conference rooms, shared office spaces, hallways, buses and shared vehicles.

On Wednesday, Ohio State announced its newly formed Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website, which focuses on the university’s COVID-19 response.

Ohio State students, faculty and staff will be required to complete a commitment pledge to promote a safe and healthy campus community. That pledge is being finalized by a committee, according to the university.
