Martell will join the team led by new head coach Manny Diaz and new offensive coordinator Dan Enos.
Martell was redshirted his freshmen year. He will have three more years of eligibility. Unless granted a waiver, he will have to sit out for the 2019 season, ESPN reports.
He will be joined by his teammates from high school—Hurricanes tight end Brevin Jordan and former University of Southern California safety Bubba Bolden, both of whom mentioned the transfer on Twitter.
