COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets are making their third consecutive postseason appearance as they begin their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
The Blue Jackets clinched their playoff position on Friday in a 3-2 shootout win over the New York Rangers.

The Blue Jackets will face their biggest challenge of the season on Wednesday, the first game of their playoff series with Tampa Bay. The Lightning have had an impressive season, winning the 2018-19 Presidents’ Trophy for best overall record in the NHL, ending the regular season 62-16.
The Blue Jackets’ schedule for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been set:
- Game 1: Wednesday, April 10 at Tampa – 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio and USA
- Game 2: Friday, April 12 at Tampa – 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio and CNBC
- Game 3: Sunday, April 14 at Columbus – 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio and NBCSN
- Game 4: Tuesday, April 16 at Columbus– 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio and CNBC
- Game 5 (if necessary): Friday, April 19 at Tampa – TBD
- Game 6 (if necessary): Sunday, April 21 at Columbus– TBD
