EASTLAKE, Ohio — It may have been overcast Saturday but the stars were out at the Inaugural Jarvis Landry & Friends Celebrity Softball Game at Classic Park in Eastlake.
The charity game hosted by the Browns wide receiver brought in celebrities of all types to compete in a pre-game Home Run Derby and the softball game itself.
Some of Landry’s teammates participated in the charity game, including Myles Garrett, David Njoku and Christian Kirksey.
Other NFL stars, past and present, also hit the diamond for charity including former Browns cornerback Joe Haden, Westlake native and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and Browns legend Bernie Kosar among others.
The softball game featured all kinds of celebrities, not just football players. Cleveland native and UFC star Stipe Miocic joined in on the fun, as well along with singer Monica, Cavs guard Jordan Clarkson and radio hosts Dustin Fox and Andrew Hawkins.
Teams were divided with Landry and Haden being team captains. Team Landry defeated Team Haden 17-10.
The seven-inning game allowed fans to interact with the players, some receiving autographs and taking home giveaways from the game.
All of the proceeds went to benefit the Lake Health Foundation, a non-profit that helps the health and medical needs of the residents of Lake County and surrounding areas.
