UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — John Carroll University has some alumni assisting in a very big game this weekend.
The university has seven former students coaching or in the front office for the Super Bowl.
Six alumni are on the coaching staff or in the front office for New England:
- Nick Caley, tightends coach, 2006 graduate
- Nick Caserio, director of player personnel, 1998 graduate
- D.J. Debick, area scout, 2013 graduate
- Josh McDaniels, offensive coordinator, 1999 graduate
- Jerry Schuplinski, assistant quarterbacks coach, 1999 graduate
- Dave Ziegler, director of pro scouting, 2001 graduate
Former John Carroll defensive coordinator, Chris Shula, is the assistant linebackers coach for Los Angeles.
This is the seventh time since 2010 that the university will be represented in the NFL's biggest game.
