CLEVELAND — Former Cleveland Cavalier guard JR Smith expressed his love for the city despite his split with the team in November.

Smith took to Twitter on Friday after a man in Cleveland allegedly asked him why he was wearing a Cavs hat.

Smith played a major role in the team's 2016 NBA Championship run as the team's third highest scorer during the series.

Even though Smith is no longer with the Cavs, he still loves the city.

Also, it wasn’t a Cavs hat.
