The Monsters defeated the Hershey Bears Saturday night to win the Calder Cup in Game 4 of the finals.
Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters had three wins to the Bears zero in the American Hockey League's best-of-seven finals before Saturday’s game. Lake Erie went on to sweep the series.
The victory spells Cleveland's first Calder Cup Championship in 52 years and Lake Erie's first AHL title in team history, according to the Monsters.
