LOS ANGELES — The LeBron James led Los Angeles Lakers acquired Anthony Davis in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Pelicans agreed to send the 26-year-old six-time All-Star to the Lakers in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks, including the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2019 NBA Draft, Wojnarowski reported.

Davis averaged more than 25 points per game and a career-high 12 rebounds per game during the 2018-2019 season.

The Pelicans were informed in January that Davis would not sign a contract extension during the offseason and that he requested a trade. The NBA fined Davis $50,000 for making his trade request public.

New Orleans already has the No. 1 overall pick in the draft after winning the NBA Draft Lottery in May.

The reported deal between the Lakers and Pelicans can not be completed until July 1.
