CLEVELAND — With the 2020 ESPY Awards approaching and airing here on News 5, ESPN Cleveland is getting in the spirit by presenting an honorary award for one high school student-athlete.
The Honorary ESPY will be awarded to a deserving high school athlete who is nominated by June 17.
All that’s required to nominate a high school athlete is a post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter sharing a few short sentences about why the student-athlete is deserving of the award.
Those posting a nomination need to use the hashtag #850ESPYS in the post.
A winner will be selected by the ESPN Cleveland Content team and an authentic ESPY Award will be presented to the winner on Friday, June 19.
Each year, the ESPY Awards are presented in recognition of an individual or team athletic achievement and performances in sporting events.
