PARMA, Ohio — Parma’s Padua Franciscan High School varsity volleyball team is no stranger to success, but this season they have been on a hot streak that they’ll look to continue Sunday as they aim for the title of state champions.
The varsity team is currently ranked No. 1 in both the nation and the state and is set to take on the Mount Notre Dame Cougars Sunday afternoon in the 2020 Ohio High School Athletic Association Girls Volleyball State Championships.
Padua Franciscan is 21-0 on the season and is looking to remain undefeated.
The school’s volleyball program has had plenty of recent success, winning back-to-back state titles in 2016 and 2017, as well as state titles in 2013, 2009 and 2008.
The Padua Franciscan Bruins take on the Cougars in Vandalia, Ohio Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
