VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — The recently named UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic could be anywhere in the world celebrating his reacquired title, but instead, the Cleveland native is staying humble back at home.
When Miocic isn’t in the octagon he works as a firefighter/paramedic for the Valley View Fire Department, and in a picture posted by the department can be seen hard at work less than two weeks after winning the championship.
Valley View Fire Department shared a photo of Miocic cleaning toilets at the station, wearing his championship belt.
The fire department also announced on its Facebook page that Miocic would be at the station taking pictures, signing autographs, and—most importantly—giving free dance lessons to anyone who asks.
The meet and greet begins at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
As for Miocic, it’s good to see the two-time heavyweight champion staying grounded and humble. He is Cleveland through and through.
