I-77 to shut down between I-480 and I-490 for demolition of Harvard Avenue Bridge

CLEVELAND — Motorists traveling on I-77 between I-480 and I-490 over the weekend will need to take an alternate route starting Friday night when the road is shut down for the demolition of the Harvard Avenue Bridge.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, I-77 north and southbound will close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen by 5 a.m. on April 1.

ODOT has issued the following guidelines regarding the closures:

I-77 north and southbound will close to between I-480 and I-490 beginning Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m. for the demolition of the Harvard Ave. bridge over I-77. Motorists will be directed to State Route 176 (Jennings Fwy.) as an alternate route.
Limited local access will be maintained within the I-77 closure. Motorists entering I-77 northbound from entrances north of I-480 will be exited at Grant Ave. Motorists entering I-77 southbound from entrances south of I-490 will be exited at Fleet Ave.
