The Ohio Department of Transportation has flagged several roads in Northeast Ohio as hazardous due to the winter weather conditions Saturday morning.
Here is a list of roads ODOT has flagged as hazardous. Use extra caution when on these roads:
- Interstate 90 at state Route 252- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- I-90 at Fairfield Avenue- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- Interstate 71 at Drake Road- Snow has been observed in the area. Roads could be slippery.
- Interstate 271 at Medina Line Road- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- Steels Corners Road at Mud Brook- Rain has been observed in the area. Roads could be slippery.
- Interstate 480 at Old Mill Road- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- U.S. Route 422 at state Route 44- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- I-271 at I-90- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
- I-90 at East 140th Street- Ice could develop on roads in the area due to observed conditions. Roads could be slippery.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Northeast Ohio from 9 p.m. Friday until 3 p.m. Saturday, warning of:
- Mixed precipitation
- 1 to 3 inches of total snow accumulation
- Ice accumulations of a light glaze
- Winds gusting as high as 40 mph
