GREEN, Ohio — A man has died Wednesday in a head-on crash that closed a portion of I-77 southbound at Arlington Road in the city of Green, according to a release from the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the Green Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-77 southbound at the Massillon Road exit at approximately 3 a.m.
On scene, authorities learned a 2005 Buick LeSabre was traveling on Massillon Road when the driver attempted to get on I-77 by turning onto the exit ramp, which caused him to travel northbound in the southbound lanes.

Authorities said his name is not being released at this time.
The 54-year-old driver of the semitrailer did not receive any injuries in the crash. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and it’s still unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
