CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians are seeking volunteers to help with the 2019 All-Star Week Volunteer Program.
The unpaid positions are for various events including Play Ball Park, which takes place from July 5 to 9 at the Hunting Convention Center of Cleveland and is the world’s largest indoor/outdoor baseball interactive theme park.
Other events include the MLB All-Star Gala which “showcases some of the finest local food, drinks and music of Cleveland.” Some volunteers will help the MLB and the Cleveland Indians prepare for on-field pre-game ceremonies for the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.
Volunteers who become part of the program will receive an MLB All-Star shirt, MLB All-Star volunteer hat, unlimited access to Play Ball Park, an MLB All-Star volunteer cinch bag, an MLB All-Star Game water bottle, a commemorative All-Star baseball and two tickets to a Cleveland Indians game.
Anyone with interest in becoming a volunteer should fill out the registration form.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old or older and must sign a release of liability waiver and pass a background check.
Applicants should note that volunteer positions are not for ballpark events. The posts are unpaid and do not provide any employment or benefits.
