Northern rains could cause more flooding further south

Heavy rains have left many areas in Summit County and northern Medina County flooded and the high rain accumulation totals are beginning to cause flooding in areas further south.

News 5 Meteorologist Bryan Shaw said that those northern floods are beginning to make their way south, despite most of the rain slowing down.

The heavy rain from the north is beginning to flow down rivers, creeks and streams into more southern areas, allowing the possibility for more flooding, Shaw said.

While the rain is beginning to slow in northern areas, locations further south, such as Massillon and Wooster, still have a chance for more rain, and flooding, throughout the week.
