CLEVELAND — Crews from the Cleveland Water Department are working to clear the ice from West 14th Street after a water main break unleashed water onto the street in subzero temperatures Wednesday night.
Because of the size of the break and location of it, it impacted the water pressure in some parts of MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland Water said in a news release. Officials said it should be restored soon.

Properties near the water main break may also experience poor pressure and flooding.
The water main break is causing multiple highways and roads to be closed. West 14th Street reopened in both directions around 6:30 a.m.Clark Avenue is still closed as crews clear the ice from the road.

Cleveland Water said there is no boil advisory in place at this time. Crews are continuing to operate valves in the area to isolate and control the leak. As these valves are closed, pressure should begin to increase in the impacted area.
