ASHTABULA, Ohio — Update: The Winter Weather Advisory has been canceled.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Ashtabula County as lake effect snow bands are expected to move towards Northwest Pennsylvania tonight.

A combination of a cold airmass with northwest winds across Lake Huron and Lake Erie will bring snow showers to Ashtabula.

The advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday.

Parts of Ashtabula County have already reported 1 to 1.5 inches of snow, with an additional 2 to 4 inches possible through tonight.

Motorists on the road should use caution as hazardous conditions are expected.

Temps stay 10-15 degrees below normal in the low-mid 20s through Friday. Another mix and possibly some heavier snow is expected to return Sunday afternoon and evening through Monday.
