CLEVELAND — An Air Quality Advisory for Ground Level Ozone has been issued for most of Northeast Ohio Monday.
The advisory, which is in effect until midnight Monday, has been issued for Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, Medina, Geauga, Summit and Portage counties.
Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups. If you are in the sensitive groups category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, officials encourage you to monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings.
The National Weather Service advises the public to do the following:
- Drive less by biking, walking, using transit, working from home or combining trips
- Don’t idle, turn off your engine
- Refill your tank after sunset
- Wait to mow your lawn
