As thunderstorms rumble through Northeast Ohio, a flood advisory has been issued for Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.
Heavy rain due to thunderstorms is expected to cause urban and small stream flooding, according to the National Weather Service. Areas with poor drainage may see minor flooding.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen, according to the NWS, and additional slow-moving storms with heavy rain are expected to move into the area through the Tuesday afternoon hours.
The areas to watch that may experience flooding include:
- Cleveland
- Lorain
- Elyria
- Vermilion
- Parma
- Lakewood
- Euclid
- Avon Lake
