The National Weather Service is warning of a line of shows and wind gusts that will affect parts of Northeast Ohio Monday afternoon.
At 12:19 p.m., radar indicated showers located along a line extended from near Chardon to near Macedonia. The movement of the line was east at 65 mph.
The areas the NWS says will be affected include north Trumbull County, northern Portage County, Geauga County, southeastern Cuyahoga County, northeastern Summit County and southern Ashtabula County.
Cities and towns impacted include Chardon, Solon, Twinsburg, Macedonia, Cortland, South Russell, Middlefield, Kinsman, North Bloomfield, Orwell, Burton, Andover, West Farmington, Bristolville, Chesterland, Broadview Heights, Aurora, Brecksville, Bedford and Bedford Heights.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph have already been reported with this line of shows, the NWS states. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible.
The NWS advises anyone outdoors to consider seeking shelter inside a building.
