Cuyahoga, Erie, Huron, Lorain and Richland counties are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts up to 60 mph are expected and quarter-sized hail may fall.
The gusty winds will cause nearshore waves along the Lake Erie shoreline. A beach hazards statement will go into effect at midnight Thursday night through Saturday morning in all counties along the lake.
Cuyahoga and Lorain counties are also under a Flood Advisory.
