Severe thunderstorm warnings, watches issued for most of Northeast Ohio

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for two counties in Northeast Ohio, effective from 11:23 p.m. Friday until 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The following counties are under the Severe Thunderstorm Watch:

  • Lorain
  • Cuyahoga

The National Weather Service has also issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several counties in Northeast Ohio, effective from 11:15 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

The following counties are under the Severe Thunderstorm Watch:

  • Lorain
  • Erie
  • Cuyahoga
  • Stark
  • Ashland
  • Huron
  • Ashtabula
  • Richland
  • Holmes
  • Medina
  • Wayne
  • Geauga

Wind gusts of up to 70 mph and half dollar size hail are possible, according to NWS.

Damage to trees, power lines, roofs and vehicles is possible as well.
