Motorists in Northeast Ohio should take extra caution on the roads Thursday evening into Friday morning as wet snow makes its way across the area.
Watch Chief Meteorologist Mark Johnson provide details about the inclement weather:
In Ashtabula and Geauga counties, snow will be moderate to heavy at times and could reduce visibility to half a mile or less.
Snow accumulations are expected to be around one to three inches, and the snow may mix with rain, especially along and east of Interstate 71.
Untreated roadways in Northeast Ohio could become slick and snow-covered.
In Erie and Ashland counties, a Level 1 Winter Weather Road Condition Advisory has been issued.
The designation means that roadways could be hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
