AKRON, Ohio — Snow and freezing rain will impact your commute to work on Tuesday morning.

The snow will mix with and change over to rain and freezing rain at times during Tuesday morning commute for southern counties.

A band of moderate snow will move into the Cleveland metro area by 8 a.m. causing visibility to drop to less than a mile at times.

Snowfall totals of 1-3 inches are likely for most of Northeast Ohio, with a light coating of freezing rain impacting southern counties.

Akron, Canton, Wooster and Mansfield will likely experience snow mixing with and changing over to rain at times Tuesday morning. There is a potential for some freezing rain mixing in as temperatures hover near the freezing mark from sunrise through the morning commute. Expect roadways to be wet, slushy and slick Tuesday morning.

While major snow and ice accumulations are not expected, the timing of this event puts the morning rush on Tuesday in the cross hairs for disruptive weather.
