Widespread rain in the morning with sleet and wet snow expected Thursday afternoon

CLEVELAND — There will be widespread rain Thursday morning with sleet and a wet snow mix this afternoon through tonight ending around midnight.

Rain showers will be heavy at times. Temperatures will cool back into the 30s.

The highest wind gusts will be found along the lakeshore and generally west of I-71.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 a.m. until 4 a.m. Friday for Erie County and from noon Thursday until 4 a.m. Friday for Northern Ashtabula, Lake, Cuyahoga, Huron, Ashland, Richland, Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca counties.

A Lakeshore Flood Warning will go into effect for Erie County from 10 a.m. today until 4 a.m. Friday.

Wind gusts are expected to reach between 40 to 50 mph. High winds could impact trees, power lines, unsecured objects and high-profile vehicles.
