Winter Storm Watch issued for NE Ohio Friday into Saturday

In anticipation of snow and freezing rain expected later this week in Northeast Ohio, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued.

In general, it's looking like we'll start with rain Friday morning. During the day, that rain will try to change over to snow. At some point, sleet and freezing rain will mix in. By Friday night, we should transition to all snow. That snow will continue through Saturday morning.

The Winter Storm Watch is expected to last from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

Ice accumulation may cause power outages and tree damage. It may also cause dangerous travel conditions, especially during Friday's evening commute.

Winds are expected to increase and temperatures to drop into the teens.
