BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Winking Lizard Tavern in Bedford Heights and Canton took advantage of Saturday’s beautiful weather, holding a barbecue for customers and donating to a good cause.
The restaurants held their first “Grillin’ To-Go” event, offering customers a full slab of ribs, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, a bottle of BBQ sauce and a roll for $20.
The events at both locations were a success, with both restaurants selling out before 6 p.m. Saturday.
During the event, Winking Lizard Tavern donated rib dinners to workers at Aultman Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and University Hospitals, a small thank you for those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Winking Lizard Tavern said it hopes to hold more Grillin’ To-Go events in the future.
